Internet and Computer Checklist

For remote learning:

  • Use a computer that meets the minimum requirements for Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø online classes.
  • If possible, use a broadband internet connection for Blackboard Collaborate and Microsoft Teams.
  • If necessary, turn off your camera to conserve bandwidth and to view the instructors screen share without interruption.

Audio/Video Checklist

  • Test your microphone and camera in advance of your class.
  • Charge your wireless headset before a lesson if you will be using one.
  • Unmute the microphone or raise the mic volume setting if others cannot hear you.
  • Make sure your camera or microphone is turned on throughout the class session, if required.

Class Environment and Participation

Remote Students: Pick a location that is adequate for remote learning. A location with little to no background noise can help with concentration and minimize class disruption.

Both: Speak clearly and loudly. Voice pacing, enunciation, and projection impact comprehension and listening, especially when you ask questions or bring up points in class.

Both: Check your emails or messages daily for instructor announcements or communications.
