Attend a COSA Monthly Meeting

Every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00am and are open to all campus employees.
Reminder messages will be sent from the COSA Secretary prior to the meeting and will include the meeting link and agenda.

 The Career Opportunities & Volunteer Services team invites you to participate in Spring Cleaning with Meaning, a donation drive benefiting Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø’s Blazer Pantry & Closet. From March 24th – April 24th, 2025, we encourage you to donate professional attire to support students preparing for interviews, internships, and career opportunities.

Items Needed:

✔ Blazers & Dress Shirts
✔ Slacks & Skirts
✔ Professional Dresses
✔ Dress Shoes
✔ Black & Brown Belts
Your contributions help ensure that every Blazer has access to the professional clothing they need to succeed. While we accept donations year-round, this drive is a special opportunity to maximize support for our students.

Career Opportunities Suite, Student Union (2nd Floor)

If donating gently used items, we kindly ask that they be dry cleaned before drop-off. However, if that is not possible, we will take care of it!

The Office of Career Opportunities & Volunteer Services, in partnership with the Council on Staff Affairs (COSA) and the Kappa Delta Queens of the Kappa Delta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., invites you to participate in our Operation Blood Drive with OneBlood on Tuesday, April 22nd.
This is a wonderful opportunity for faculty and staff to come together, give back to the community, and make a life-saving impact right here on campus.

📍 Odum Library Loop (In front of Brown Hall)
All donors will receive:
  • A $20 Walmart eGift Card
  • A long-sleeved t-shirt
  • A wellness checkup (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count & cholesterol screening)
  • 3 hours of community service credit (if applicable for volunteer hours reporting)

Submit your photo(s) to cosa@valdosta.edu starting at 8am on Thursday, October 31st. The deadline to submit your photo is Thursday, October 31st at 6pm.
 
The winner(s) will be announced on the COSA Facebook page by 2pm on Friday, November 1st!
Winner(s) will receive a COSA Swag basket.
 
  1. You can submit an individual photo or a team photo from your department!
    *Photos should not include family or friends outside of the institution or department.
  2. Be sure to connect with your direct supervisor before participating.
  3. Costumes must be work appropriate.

COSA, the President's Office and Campus Wellness hosted the annual Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Staff and Faculty Appreciation event in March.

COSA representatives showed Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Staff and Administration their appreciation by delivering donuts to campus! Greeted with smiling faces, expressions of gratitude, and a sweet treat, many staff members were given a quick sign of appreciation during this event!

 COSA BBQ Chicken Fundraiser 2025

All proceeds will benefit the Employee Recognition Programs at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø. COSA members sold 250 BBQ plates that included 1/2 smoked chicken, baked beans, potato salad, and bread.
