Technology Assistance for Students and Employees During Virtual Instruction

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø students work on computers in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. 

VALDOSTA, Ga. - Students, faculty, and staff at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø needing technology assistance following Hurricane Helene can get it. Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø's Information Technology team has the below information to share. 

Virtual Computer Lab: You may access various licensed software (ex: SPSS, SAP, Microsoft Office, etc.) while off-campus through Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø virtual computer labs. The virtual computers are available on a first-come; first-served basis, Monday-Sunday, 24 hours a day; each user is allotted 3 hours per log-in session.

Microsoft 365: At no charge, you can install Microsoft 365 (Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, and more ) on your personal devices. Also, by logging in to MyÏ㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø, you can access Microsoft 365 web applications.

Loaner Laptops: Through the New Media Center - , students and employees can borrow a laptop and other equipment for academic purposes by submitting the Borrower Request Form.
Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø /academics/library/depts/media-center/policies-and-procedures/late-fee-policy.php to learn about equipment loaner policies.

Faculty and Staff Only: Use NMC editing suites for a private space to do synchronous instruction online. You can also use the Light Board Studio or Presentation Capture Space to record lectures to meet both synchronous and asynchronous learner needs. These can be found on the Tour NMC page with a description of each space and a link to reserve a room.
