Odum Library Resources Can Assist Students During Virtual Instruction

Odum Library is open regular hours and the Internet and WiFi are working in the building. There are many computers available for students to use on the second and third floors. Students with their own laptops are welcome to use the study rooms (first come first served) or other study spaces in the library.
For students who need a dedicated study space for a specific time, the New Media Center has several rooms that can be reserved for student use. There are three lab/classrooms available and more details about the rooms can be found at Tour NMC. Students can request one of the three editing suites for a period of two hours. Students who need to use Lockdown Browser can request one of the editing suites or check out a laptop.
Students can also checkout laptops from the New Media Center for a 1-week loan using this request form (). They can request a renewal using the same form for a max of 2 renewals.
The Reference Desk is open on the second floor of the library and students can walk up and get immediate research assistance. Librarians are also available virtually to help students with their research. Student can ask questions with Live Chat or schedule a to meet with a librarian online or in-person.
For students with Internet who cannot make it into campus, many of the library’s resources are available online and accessible from anywhere. Students can search for articles in (main search box on library home page) or in subject-specific resources. Students can find online books on many topics by searching . Again, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø librarians are ready to support students wherever they are and can also assist with these requests.
