Chemical companies manufacture products and materials for agricultural, energy, pharmaceutical, electronics, and other industries. While many chemists do work in a laboratory, chemists also contribute to product development, manufacturing, quality control, regulation, sales, and product support. The Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Chemistry degree with a Business option provides you with skills and knowledge to be a successful chemist and business leader, joining one of the 10,000 chemical companies in the U.S. or starting your own.

Your Chemistry degree program with a Business option is flexible to suit your interests in entrepreneurship and international business, while also developing a strong foundation in Chemistry. You will work closely with faculty mentors from both the Chemistry program and the Langdale College of Business in a student-focused, supportive, and caring environment. Research-quality scientific instrumentation and laboratory space is available for you to learn and gain practical, hands-on experience. You can even perform your own research with a faculty mentor and learn from their experiences working in the chemical industry. You will build your resume and, more importantly, prepare for success in your chosen career. By completing recommended courses offered by the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Langdale College of Business, you will receive the new Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¹ÙÍø Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
What You'll Learn
The Chemistry degree with a Business option provides you with a well-rounded education in Chemistry and Business. Faculty will teach you theory and you will apply that knowledge outside the classroom. Our yearly seminar series help you learn effective study skills, find an internship, give presentations with confidence, and choose a career or pursue post-graduate education such as a PhD in Chemistry or an MBA.

Cost and Length of Program
Students meeting pre-requisites for first-year courses can graduate within four years with a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Chemistry, Business option and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
